RRB NTPC Syllabus,Eligibility Criteria and Exam Pattarn 2019:-

Railways Recruitment Board has released a recruitment notification for various posts including Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC). This is a golden opportunity for the candidates who aspire to join the Railways Sector.

RRB NTPC is an entrance exam for the non-technical posts with various RRBs across India. Earlier, Railways used to take separate recruitment examinations for every zone. However, this year onwards the exam has been combined for all the RRBs. It implies that exam paper will be same for all the zones. This is also the first time that this exam will be conducted online.

Nationality / Citizenship:-

(i) A candidate must be either:

  • a citizen of India, or
  • a subject of Nepal, or
  • a subject of Bhutan, or
  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India

Typing proficiency in English / Hindi on Computer is essential

Junior Clerk Cum Typist12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.

50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability/Ex-servicemen and the candidates who possess qualifications higher than 12th(+2 stage).

Typing proficiency in English / Hindi on Computer is essential

Junior Time Keeper12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.

50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability/Ex-servicemen and the candidates who possess qualifications higher than 12th(+2 stage).

Typing proficiency in English / Hindi on Computer is essential

Trains Clerk12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.

50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability/Ex-servicemen and the candidates who possess qualifications higher than 12th(+2 stage).

Note: If a student is a graduate or possesses higher qualifications than 12th Standard, 50% marks compulsion in Class XII will not be insisted upon you.

For Example: If a student is a Graduate & have scored 45% in Class XII, 50% marks compulsion in Class XII will not be insisted upon you.

Exam Pattern:-

RRB NTPC Exam will be conducted in different stages.

  • Each question will carry 1 Mark.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.33 marks.
  • The 1st Stage CBT is of screening nature.
  • Stage I is common for all posts.
  • Stage I marks will be normalized.

A total number of candidates to be shortlisted for Stage II will be 20 times the vacancies of posts as per students’ performance in 1st Stage Computer Based Test cum choice of posts.

RRB NTPC CBT 2 Exam Pattern:-

Stage II exam will be different for each post (7 CPC Level-wise). Although there will different exam level for different posts, the pattern will be the same for all the posts. Let us go through Stage II exam pattern:
